10/7 ā€“ Tornado Watch in Effect for Monmouth County

The National Weather Service has announced a tornado watch for Monmouth County and much of the state for Monday.

The service issued its warning at 9 a.m. which is in effect until 5 p.m.

The weather service also warned of the potential for moderate to heavy rainfall from this afternoon until this evening, which could result in flooding in areas with poor drainage. Scattered thunderstorms are predicted for this afternoon and evening may be accompanied by severe wind gusts.
