ASBURY PARK – City police arrested Robert E. Womble Jr. of Red Bank last Friday, charging him with knowingly using a stolen debit card for purchases.

Womble, 53, of Evergreen Terrace allegedly used a Wells Fargo debit card at the Rite Aid pharmacy, 901 Main St. to purchase items worth $172, which is a third-degree crime, according to police criminal complaint submitted to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Freehold.

Womble’s bail was set at $7,500 without the option to post a 10 percent bond.
