LONG BRANCH – National Emergency Medical Services Week, recognized May 18 – 24, honors the hundreds of thousands of men and women who dedicate themselves to saving the lives of others. Celebrated annually in May, Emergency Medical Services Week also educates the public about how and when to utilize EMS services.
Each year, Monmouth Medical Center joins with the American College of Emergency Physicians to celebrate Emergency Medical Services Week. To honor the dedicated EMS practitioners in local communities, Monmouth Medical Center will once again host its “Let’s Make a Deal” event for local EMS personnel from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, at the West Long Branch Community Center, 116 Locust Avenue.
Monmouth Medical Center is dedicated to communicating the message that EMS is a vital public service that takes coordination of many different elements. The 911 emergency number, search-and-rescue teams as well as pre-hospital and emergency department personnel are just some of the critical elements necessary for the EMS system to work.
The Emergency Department at Monmouth Medical Center oversees approximately 49,000 visits each year. With an array of multidisciplinary and emergency specialists on-staff 24/7, the department at Monmouth offers high quality urgent care for a range of issues, from acute care to more serious, life-threatening medical conditions.
Space for Let’s Make a Deal is limited. Each squad is welcome to bring up to five guests. To reserve a squad’s spot, please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 732-923-7445.
