6/8 – Fire Destroys Apartment on Monmouth Street Today

A fast moving fire destroyed an apartment on Monmouth Street in Red Bank Sunday morning., just before noon.The Red Bank Fire Dept. was on the scene within minutes and started an interior attack. The Red Bank Fire chief Tom Welsh put out a request for additional units from surrounding towns for more manpower. Middletown, Fair Haven and River Plaza fire departments responded with engines and firefighters. As of 1:30 the fire dept. was still on the scene.  Scott Longfield
