COLTS NECK — The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and township police have released a composite sketch of a man suspected of stabbing a township woman early Sunday morning.

Authorities are asking anyone with any information to contact the prosecutor’s office at 800-533-7443 or Colts Neck Police Detective Richard Zarrillo at 732-462-4343.

Authorities haven’t officially released much information about the incident other than saying that a 41-year-old woman was attacked and stabbed several times in her Bray Street home at approximately 12:30 a.m., with the suspect taking her car and fleeing the scene.

The victim, who was not identified, was taken to an area hospital, which the prosecutor’s office declined to name, for treatment where she remains in critical but stable condition.

Authorities reminded the public that this drawing is only an estimation of the suspect’s appearance and appearances can be easily changed. Anyone with any suspicions should contact authorities as “All leads will be followed up in an appropriate fashion,” the prosecutor’s office said.
