7/15 – Jogger Hit on Cherry Tree Farm Road; Middletown Police Investigating

MIDDLETOWN — Township police are investigating an accident during which a jogger was hit by a vehicle yesterday morning.

A vehicle hit a jogger, who was trying to cross Cherry Tree Farm Road, at about 8:04 a.m. Sunday, according to detective Lt.. Stephen Dollinger. The vehicle was traveling east on Cherry Tree Farm Road when it hit the jogger who had stepped off the curb

The jogger, who was not identified, suffered non-life threatening head and chest injuries. He was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune for treatment. First responders requested and then canceled a medivac helicopter, according to Dollinger.

Police have not identified the driver.
