  1. I visited the battleship 2 years ago with my wife. This was my second visit. My last one was when she was being mothballe in 1969 at Bremerton, Washington.
I was very impressed with the site. The staff was very knowledgable and patient. I have difficulty walking and they were very patient with me.

I plan on another visit to the ship next year.

I am a Navy Vet 1969-1973 (act) and 1984 to 1988 (res) USS Roark DE 1053.

On my last visit I took about 250 photos. I came home and in the process of transfering them I lost them all. Totaly my fault.

My absolute favorite picture was the inside of the Citadel. I was an Engineman in my Navy days and the missed that one the most.

Thanks again for the wonderful time.

  2. I’ve been to the USS New Jersey at least 5 time taking various family and friends and plan to go back in the future that is if they keep it where it is now. If they move it to North Jersey you can forget me ever going back there. Why does that part of the state have to steal everything from the south?
