FEB. 1 FAMILY FUN SATURDAY at Eastern Branch Library, 1001 Route 35, Shrewsbury, at 11 a.m. Celebrate Take Your Child to the Library Day! Enjoy a snow dance, some snow stories and a snowflake craft. For ages 2 and up with family members. Please register at library.

 FEB. 1 TAKE YOUR CHILD TO THE LIBRARY DAY at Middletown Township Public Library, 55 New Monmouth Road, Middletown, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  How well does your family know the library? Find out as you play “Library I Spy” together. Visit the Children’s Help Desk on that day only to get a game board and stickers while supplies last. No registration required.

FEB. 1 YOUNG ADULT ANIME CLUB at Red Bank Public Library, 84 W. Front St., Red Bank, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Teens are welcome to watch some Anime and there is always popcorn!

FEB. 1 LEARN HOW TO OUTSMART YOUR SMARTPHONE at Red Bank Public Library, 84 W. Front St., Red Bank, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Smartphones are everywhere, but using them can be daunting since they are much more than just a phone. This free class, with librarian Erik Stevenson, will cover Android phones and Apple iPhones, smartphone terminology, and choosing a smartphone plan. FEB. 3 PARENTING WITH LOVE AND DISCIPLINE at Eastern Branch Library, 1001 Route 35, Shrewsbury, at 10:30 a.m. Learn specific strategies to help you set clear expectations, follow through with directions, and catch your children being good. Presented by Kimberly Kamhi of Daily Practice, LLC.

FEB. 3 YOUNG ADULT BOOK CLUB at Red Bank Public Library, 84 W. Front St., Red Bank, from 4 to 5 p.m. Teens and preteens in grades 6 through 12 are welcome. FEB. 3, 10, 17 and 24 MOTHER TO MOTHER SUPPORT GROUP at Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Ave., Long Branch, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Join new mothers to talk about what you are experiencing.  Discussions, led by a registered nurse, will include topics such as infant behavior, feeding, sleeping patterns and crying, as well as recovering from childbirth. Newborns up to age 6 months and fathers are welcome. Registration is required by calling 732-923-6990. Free.

FEB. 5 SUPER SNOWMAN STORYTIME DAY at Middletown Township Public Library, 55 New Monmouth Road, Middletown, at 3 p.m. (Early dismissal for Middletown Public Schools.) Ready for winter to be over? Come enjoy the Raymond Briggs’ Classic, “The Snowman,” and create a non-melting snowman to take home.

FEB. 5 SOCIAL MEDIAL MARKETING DEMYSTIFIED at Eastern Branch Library, 1001 Route 35, Shrewsbury, at 6:30 p.m. Learn the ins and outs on how to use social media to implement a successful marketing program to promote your business online. Attendees will get an expert opinion on how to use Facebook, LinkedIn, blogging and other necessary social media tools to engage their audience in a social conversation to boost your business brand and expand your reach to help your business grow.

FEB. 5 and 19 SHORE-AREA STROKE SURVIVORS SUPPORT GROUP at The HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls Cafeteria, 2 Centre Plaza, Tinton Falls, from 2 to 4 p.m. Support and education for stroke survivors, their families, caregivers and friends who are coping with recovery from stroke. FEB. 6 US TOO: PROSTATE CANCER SUPPORT GROUP at Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Ave., Long Branch, from 7 to 9 p.m. Free support group provides mutual support, information and education for men with prostate cancer and their partners or loved ones. To register, call 732-923-7582.

FEB. 6, 13, 20 and 27 POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION (PPD)/ANXIETY SUPPORT GROUP sponsored by Monmouth Medical Center and Central Jersey Family Health Consortium and is held at Pollak Center, located at 75 N. Bath Avenue, Long Branch, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. This free support group is a safe, nonthreatening group for moms or expectant moms experiencing any of the perinatal mood disorders including but not limited to sadness, anger, anxiety, OCD, intrusive/compulsive thoughts, panic or post traumatic stress disorder.  For information call 732-923-5234.

FEB. 6, 13, 20 and 27 GENERAL BEREAVEMENT DROP-IN SUPPORT GROUP at Monmouth Medical Center’s 6th floor Meditation Room, Greenwall Wing, 300 Second Ave., Long Branch, from 3 to 4 p.m. This free, ongoing weekly general bereavement group is facilitated by experienced professionals to provide a safe, supportive environment for all those who are grieving a loss.
