Authorities Investigating Death of Middletown Man from Gunshot Wound

MIDDLETOWN – Township police and Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office investigators are probing the death last week of a Leonardo man who died from an apparent gunshot wound.

Township police responded to a report of the discovery of the body of Anthony Capella, 30, at his 17 Roop Ave. home at 8:25 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

The joint investigation is ongoing, with authorities asking anyone with information to contact the prosecutor’s office at 800-533-7443; or Middletown Police detective Adam Finck at 732-615-2100.
