Businesswomen’s Luncheon to Feature Kelly Ryan

HAZLET – The Northern Monmouth Chamber of Commerce will hold its quarterly Women in Business Luncheon for men and women at noon, Thursday, June 20, at the Park East Restaurant, 3352 Route 35 south.

Kelly Ryan of Boondocks Fishery will be the featured speaker. Ryan will speak about her recovery from Super Storm Sandy, explaining how she rebuilt her business.

Tickets are $25 for Northern Monmouth Chamber members who preregister and $30 for nonmembers who preregister.  Tickets are available the day of the event at the door for $30 for Northern Chamber members and $35 for nonmembers.

The event is sponsored by Best Tiles from Keyport; Abbate Bakery in Matawan is donating desserts for the event.

 

Brown’s Heating & Cooling to Host New Showroom Grand Opening

 

SHREWSBURY – Brown’s Heating & Cooling, a Little Silver-based service company, will celebrate from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 15, the grand opening of its new showroom at 427 Broad St.

The 36-year-old company specializes in heating, cooling and plumbing for both residential and commercial clients.

Co-owners of the company are President Carol Brown and Vice-President Ray Dietrich. The showroom, which will feature working displays of a variety of heating and cooling systems, home generators, hot water heaters and humidifiers, is the company’s second location and will be open for business 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The firm is inviting the public to its celebration on June 15. The event will feature wine, cheese and light fare.

Shrewsbury Mayor Donald Burden and Red Bank Mayor Pasquale “Pat” Menna will be in attendance for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. Other state and local elected officials have been invited, and the local business community is encouraged to attend.
