Congregation Looking for Soles to Help Souls

December 13, 2013

RUMSON – Don’t throw away your old shoes, recycle them at Congregation B’nai Israel (CBI) in Rumson.

The Youth Department at CBI will be collecting gently worn shoes through Wednesday, Dec. 18, for Soles4Souls, a global not-for-profit institution dedicated to fighting the devastating impact and perpetuation of poverty. By redistributing the shoes through the organization’s international micro-enterprise partners, men and women will be given the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty by earning a sustainable income.

Shoes can be dropped off at CBI, located at 171 Ridge Road, most days between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
