MIDDLETOWN – The Monmouth County Park System is looking for volunteers to become docents at the Huber Woods Environmental Center, Middletown.

The park system is looking for people who are at least 21 years old and enjoy interacting with people. Volunteer docents welcome visitors and answer questions about on-site ecology and exhibits at the facility.

Prospective volunteers are invited to a training session at the environmental center from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 22.
Once trained, docents will be asked to volunteer on weekends in half-day shifts at the environmental center and provide a minimum two-shift commitment per month.

For more information or to reserve a space for the volunteer docent training, call Melissa Kelly, coordinator of volunteers at 732-842-4000, ext. 4283, or email mkelly@monmouthcountyparks.com.
