New Jersey Chamber Singers
- “In both sacred and secular realms, light is a universal phenomenon whose power is infinite,” said Reid Masters, Artistic Director of New Jersey Chamber Singers. “Light represents hope for something better, more reflective, more pure, and more brilliant; even life after death.”
Come hear a concert of choral music inspired by light, featuring Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna in addition to other choral works by composers such as J.S. Bach, G.F. Handel, Edwin Fissinger, William Averitt, and Moses Hogan.
The New Jersey Chamber Singers (NJCS), under the direction of Reid Masters, is one of the premier vocal chamber ensembles of the Jersey Shore. Founded in 1978 by Dr. Jeffrey Unger for the sole purpose of providing quality performances of choral music written for the small ensemble, NJCS has presented concerts throughout New Jersey and beyond.
