Fire at the Molly

RED BANK – Members of the Red Bank Fire Department responded to a report of a working structure fire at the Molly Pitcher Inn, 88 Riverside Ave., on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at approximately 1 p.m.

The fire was contained to the main roof deck of the hotel and restaurant. Officials said the fire appeared to have started accidentally while construction workers were applying hot tar to a roof deck using electrical torches. The hotel sustained minor damage.
