LITTLE SILVER –The perfect cure for the winter blues – a visit to Sickles Market’s greenhouse during its Annual Artists’ Weekend Feb. 16-17.

Each day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. approximately a dozen artists will display their art and hold demonstrations at Sickles, 1 Harrison Ave.

The event is free to the public. Artwork is for sale with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the artists.

“This is a great time of year to enjoy our greenhouse,” said Bob Sickles, third-generation owner of Sickles Market. “It’s stocked full of beautiful plants and the natural light is perfect for displaying art. We are lucky to have so many talented local artists dedicating their lives to creating works of art and Sickles is happy to allow them to exhibit in our greenhouse.”

Artists work in several mediums, including watercolors, oils, pen and ink, textiles and recycled materials. Additionally, on Saturday, Feb. 16, Sickles Market will set up a terrarium table demonstration as well.
