The up-and-down weather continues this week.

Snow showers are possible this weekend and then the weather will turn by the middle of next week.

The chance for brief periods of snow exists after 1 a.m. Saturday morning and then again on Sunday before 10 a.m.

Both Saturday and Sunday’s highs are expected to be around 40. Monday, which is the observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, will be mostly sunny and around 44 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday will have a high of about 36. Wednesday and Thursday’s daytime highs are expected to be about 27, the weather service forecasts.
