RED BANK – The Monmouth Conservatory of Music presented a special two-part performance Nov. 10 and Dec. 8, featuring cellist Sam Magill and pianist Vladislav Kovalsky, who performed the first part of Beethoven’s complete sonatas for cello and piano.

Both artists perform as soloists and chamber musicians throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. Magill is currently a member of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in New York; Kovalsky is the executive/ artistic director of the Mon­mouth Conservatory of Music and is an official Steinway Artist. Among those in attendance were Free­holder Lillian G. Burry and Red Bank Mayor Pasquale Menna, who will serve on the conservatory’s 50th anniversary advisory committee in 2014-2015.

The Monmouth Conser­vatory of Music is a 501 (3)(c) not-for-profit organization. It is the only nonprofit classical music school in the area. Part of the conservatory’s mission is to bring classical music to the community.

The conservatory’s performances are open to the public free of charge as part of the outreach mission. Donations in support of this mission are gratefully accepted. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
