New Board Chairwoman Named at FCS

LONG BRANCH – Shrewsbury attorney Audena “Dena” Walter Reger has been named chair of the Board of Directors of Family Children’s Service (FCS), Monmouth County’s oldest non-profit social service agency serving people at vulnerable times in their lives through education, intervention, care and counseling.

She succeeds Debbie O’Donoghue of Little Silver whose two-year term as chair expired in December.

An attorney with the Little Silver law firm of Jahos, Broege & Shaheen LLP, Reger joined the FCS Board in 2010 and quickly assumed leadership positions on the board’s strategic planning and audit committees. In addition to her service with FCS, Reger is a past president of the Junior League of Monmouth County, a founding member of the Monmouth County Consortium for LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) Youth and a meeting facilitator for Jersey Shore PFLAG (Parents, Family & Friends of Lesbians and Gays).

A resident of Shrewsbury, Reger also serves as a trustee of the Shrewsbury Historical Society. Reger is a graduate of Seton Hall University Law School and the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University where she serves as chair of the Alumni Admissions Program for Monmouth and Ocean Counties. She is also a graduate of Red Bank Regional High School (RBRHS) where she was recently named a Distinguished Alumni and inducted into its Alumni Hall of Fame.

In addition to Reger’s appointment, the FCS Board also elected two new members: Eric Jaeger of Fair Haven and Anthony Frigoletto of Morganville. Jaeger, a former investment banker with Barclays Capital, is a Fair Haven borough councilman. Frigoletto is a managing director and senior financial advisor with Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC in Freehold.
