LITTLE SILVER – Red Bank Regional School (RBR) will host a presentation at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, about the college athletic recruitment process in the auditorium.
All parents and athletes from the Shore Conference are welcome and admission is free.
Former high school and college coach and athletic director Jack Renkens of Recruiting Realities will be the guest speaker. Renkens has been speaking on the subject for the past 16 years at high schools throughout the country. He has also written many books on the subject. His presentation will detail the facts about the college athletic recruitment, while clarifying popular misconceptions and will detail the role that high school coaches, social media and even parents play in the process.
“This is a great presentation for all parents and athletes to see, particularly as they embark on their high school athletic career,” said RBR athletic director Del Dal Pra, who invited Renkens to speak at the high school. “It provides them with helpful information on the possibility of playing sports at the collegiate level and attaining college scholarships.”
Additional information about the program is available by visiting the Recruiting Realities website at www.recruiting realities.com.
RBR is located at 101 Ridge Road.
