RBR Student Awarded the SSOA John Cobb Boys’ Senior Excellence Award

Little Silver – Red Bank Regional (RBR) senior and Shrewsbury resident Matt Raybon, pictured with RBR varsity coach Sean Reid of Long Branch was recently awarded the Monmouth County Shore Soccer Official Association’s John Cobb Boys Senior Soccer Excellence Award. Matt was nominated by Coach Reid and is the first RBR soccer player to receive the award, which is given to one player in Monmouth County each year. RBR will host the award plaque at the school this year, which is inscribed with all winners’ names since the award’s inception in 1993. The award recognizes sports and academic excellence and leadership on and off the soccer field. In addition to serving as a soccer team captain for the last two years, Matt is a top academic student in the Academy of Pre-engineering, and involved in many extra curricular activities.
