Red Kettle Campaign Begins for Salvation Army

Posted in: News on November 26, 2012

RED BANK – Those at The Salvation Army Community Center at 180 Newman Springs Road hope to raise $100,000 in this year’s Red Kettle campaign.

Major Elizabeth Rogan and her husband Capt. John Rogan kick off The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign, the organization’s biggest annual fundraiser.

The local fundraising drive, which begins on Thanksgiving and will continue through the holidays, is part of the army’s annual nationwide campaign, the largest effort to collect money for the organization each year.

Kettles, manned by unpaid volunteers and paid workers, will be located throughout the area served by the Red Bank center.

“Residents of Monmouth County have been generous in the past in support of the army’s work, and we hope they will continue to respond well this year so that we can continue to help those in need in our area,” said Capt. John Rogan. He and his wife Major Elizabeth Rogan are the officers in charge of the Red Bank center.
