RUMSON – The Rumson School District will be offering an Integrated Preschool Program at the Deane-Porter School, 50 Blackpoint Road, which will be open to 3- and 4-year-old children.

The program, which is aligned with the state Department of Education’s Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards, provides an inclusive educational environment for preschool children.

Typically developing children, as well as children with special needs, will be included in the program. The district uses a lottery system to determine the students offered enrollment if required.

The lottery drawing will be held on Wednesday, March 5. Children are eligible for the program if they are 3 years old by Oct. 15, but not over 5 years old. A birth certificate with a raised seal and two proofs of residency are required to apply and must be presented when the application is submitted.

Transportation to the program is the responsibility of the

parents/guardians.

Applications for the program are available at the Deane-Porter Elementary School’s Main Office and must be submitted no later than 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28. Information can also be found on the web at www.rumsonschool.org or by calling 732-842-0811.
