SEA BRIGHT – The grassroots organization Sea Bright Rising will host on Dec. 15 The Big Beach Bash, an evening of food, music and hope to benefit the town of Sea Bright and its residents.
The moment tickets became available, neighbors and friends rallied, selling out the event in just 24 hours. There is still ample opportunity to contribute to this community effort, however.
Donation and sponsorship information can be found by going to the Sea Bright Rising website http://seabrightrising.givezooks.com/events/sea-bright-rising-beach-bash.
“We were bowled over by the response to The Big Beach Bash,” Sea Bright Rising co-founder Ilene Winters said. We are so grateful to the local businesses, talented entertainers and volunteers who have offered their assistance in planning this event, as well as the over 600 members of our community that wanted to be part of this campaign.
“Sea Bright Rising was formed to help our neighbors recover from their loss and rebuild,” she said. “The Big Beach Bash is the organization’s first official fundraising event and, even though the event is sold out, we hope our supporters will still go to our website and contribute through a sponsorship or by making a donation.”
Bringing a little summer to December, The Big Beach Bash will be held in the gymnatorium of Holy Cross School in Rumson. The evening will feature a variety of dishes and desserts provided by many local restaurants including Bistro, Dish, Pazzo, Readies, Red Bank Chocolate Shop, Sugar Rush and Teak. A selection of wines, martinis and craft beers will be available at the bar.
Partygoers can then dance the night away to several of the area’s leading bands.
Sponsorship opportunities are available, ranging from $500 to $20,000, and are needed.
