Shrewsbury Chorale Commemorates D-Day

FREEHOLD ­– The Shrewsbury Chorale and the Garden State Orchestra and Chorus, under the baton of Anthony La Gruth, will present “Lest We Forget,” a concert to commemorate the 70th anniversary of D-Day, at 7:30 p.m. March 22, at First Presbyterian Church of Freehold.

The program will feature “German Requiem” by Johannes Brahms, “A Survivor from Warsaw” by Arnold Schoenberg, and “Lincoln Portrait” by Aaron Copland.

In a gesture of support and remembrance, the Shrewsbury Chorale will donate 10 percent of the concert proceeds to the Center for Holocaust Studies at Brookdale Community College.

Tickets are available for $20 at www.shrewsburychorale.org or by calling 732-513-8413, and are also will be available at the door for $25.

The First Presbyterian Church of Freehold is located at 118 West Main St.
