Shrewsbury to Honor 100-year-old Resident

SHREWSBURY – The mayor and council and several Monmouth County Freeholders will honor resident Carlotta Niles during the Monday, June 3, council meeting.

The meeting is scheduled to start a half-hour early at 6:30 p.m., instead of the normal 7 p.m ., to honor Niles who celebrated her 100th birthday on May 27.

Niles, a long-time borough resident, will have a reception held in her honor. Borough officials ay the spirited centenarian expects to drive to the meeting in her sports car.
