An early morning automobile accident that occurred before 8 a.m. on Monday, July 2 delayed traffic on Tindall Road in front of Middletown High School North. A Middletown police cruiser heading northbound on Tindall Road collided with a four-door camel colored sedan (not pictured) causing the air bag to deploy in the sedan. Both drivers were transported to Riverview Medical Center for treatment. Both vehicles involved in the crash encountered severe front-end damage and the sedan was taken away from the scene of the accident on a flatbed tow truck. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation, said Sgt. Fred Deickmann of the Middletown Township Police Department.
