RUMSON — Visiting Nurse Association Health Group Hospice is holding its eighth annual Hearts of Remembrance Children’s Day: A Celebration of Life, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16 at the home of Thomas and Elizabeth Thees, 2 Allencrest Road, Rumson.

The free grief support camp is open to children ages 6-12 who have experienced the death of a loved one. The program includes fun, meaningful and uplifting activities such as crafting, music therapies, storytelling and a visit from pet therapy dogs.

The day’s events are designed to encourage children to express their feelings, share memories, and have fun. Social workers specializing in bereavement counseling, as well as trained volunteers and other hospice professionals, will be available to support and guide the children throughout the day. Supportive counseling will be available to interested parents and guardians.

Registration is required by June 1. Additional information and applications are available by calling 732-224-6933.
