There is a reason why Salt Creek Grille, Rumson, has received numerous awards for its wine list – including the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence every year since 2002 – while they take wine very seriously, they make exploring wines fun and delicious. Come see for yourself on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 6:30 p.m. when the wines from Chateau Ste. Michelle from Washington State’s renowned AVA wine region Columbia Valley will be featured for $80 per person plus tax and gratuity. For reservations call (732) 933-9272. All of the four wines are rated 90 and above. Executive Chef Bob has prepared a stunning special menu to complement the wines.

The Menu

Chateau Ste. Michelle “Canoe Ridge” Chardonnay 2008 will be served during the reception with artisanal cheeses and with the first course of local and seasonal Spaghetti Squash, Basil Pesto and Tomato Marmalade. The second course will feature  a seafood friendly Chateau Ste. Michelle “Eroica” Riesling with Chilled Maine Lobster, Avocado over Field Greens and Citrus Vinaigrette. The third course will debut the latest joint venture between award-winning wine producers – Chateau Ste. Michelle and Marchesi Antinori of Tuscany, Italy – Col Solare Bottega Red Blend 2006, which received a 92 rating from Wine Spectator. This world-class Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine will be the perfect accompaniment with the Coffee Encrusted New York Strip with New Jersey’s Valley Shepherd Blue Cheese and Bourbon Caramel Sauce. Save room for dessert! The fourth course will feature Chateau Ste. Michelle “Ethos” Syrah 2007, rated 91 points by Wine Advocate, and will be served with Bittersweet Chocolate Torte. The dinner will be led by Andrew McKenna, Eastern Region Manager, Chateau Ste. Michelle.

As if the wines and menu are not reason enough to book your seat asap, Salt Creek Grille can’t resist tossing in a little rousing fun. After each course McKenna will pick a winner for a door prize of a featured wine. And, each guest will receive a $20 reward card for the main dining room from Salt Creek Grille with no expiration date!
